A lively cornflower blue, this 2.33 ct. (8.71 x 6.11 - 4.17mm) emerald-cut blue sapphire is as beautiful as the sky on a clear crisp spring day. It has a great saturation and clarity. The ancient Persians believed that the earth rested on a giant sapphire, which reflected its color to the sky, and this stone embodies that belief.

This sapphire is set in our platinum Softened Hard Omega or "SHO" with pave lips in a matte finish. The SHO features (10) pave F/VS diamonds on the lips, (5) on each side with a total weight of 0.04 ct.
